Day one of the 2016 edition of the Web Summit is done. I arrived there to find huge queues of people waiting to get in. But it all seemed to be flowing without too much trouble.
Great discussions were held a little all over the venue: AI, VR, the future of work, happiness, the digital revolution, investing, hacking conferences, IPOs, drones, bots, you name it. We even had Robert Scoble on stage wearing a VR headset. But then again, we know he’s a big fan of wearables.
One thing I missed was the Food Summit, such a great event at the Dublin editions. Where in Dublin we got the best food produced in Ireland for free, here in Lisbon we had to pay for our own (fast) food.
One important note: The Wi-Fi works! Yay!
Here are some images from today.
I’m sure tomorrow will bring yet another set of great speakers and discussions. See you then!
