Muzzley is yet another startup that will be present at The Web Summit, starting next week in Dublin. I have interviewed them before, but I wanted to check their expectations for the conference.
Tell us about your expectations for the upcoming Web Summit.
We have high expectations for this event. We’re excited to be meeting with the major industry giants and have the opportunity to receive important insights from them, as well as to present them our product, muzzley. Our presence at the Web Summit this year is very promising, for two main reasons – we will be both exhibiting and pitching muzzley! Regarding our exhibiting stand, we’ll deliver on a very one of a kind experience for all attendees (we can only unveil that the typical computer presentation and flyers won’t be part of it). As for the pitching session, we’re excited to have such great exposure to hundreds of people, including a very savvy judging panel, at the startup competition PITCH, presented by the Coca-Cola Company.
The Internet of Things (IOT) is being talked about more and more. What impact do you expect to have at the event? Any special plans?
We expect to have a great impact at the event, because we’re bringing something new to the table. muzzley’s different from any other mobile app that has been seen so far in the IoT industry. Our mission, along with our futuristic (though achievable) technology and features, blend to create a high desired product for all smart devices’ user. With our original exhibiting stand, we expect our attendees to understand how relevant will be to have muzzley as part of their daily lives, as well as have some fun while in the venue.
Are you aiming to strike up partnerships with other IoT companies there?
We’re definitely very excited to be meeting other IoT companies and find out synergies that otherwise would be hardly found over e-mail exchanging – to meet prospective partners in person is very enriching for us. We hope to find synergies with these partners in an attempt to increase our portfolio of connected devices, and improve their product’s capabilities. All in all, our ultimate goal is to meet the right people, with the same objective as us: to enhance people’s quality of life by liberating them from performing home tasks.
What speaker(s) are you most looking forward to hearing?
We are interested in a wide range of themes, and therefore are looking forward to hear speakers from all kinds of companies. We will definitely keep our eyes peeled to hear industry savvys such as Werner Vogels (CTO, Amazon), Tony Fadell (Founder, Nest), George Yianni (Inventor, Philips Hue), Chris Satchell (CTO, Nike), Alfred Lin (Partner, Sequoia), and John O’Farrell (Partner, Andreessen Horowitz) and so many other interesting ventures.
