Gleam assures you will look great, no matter the occasion. That’s one of the goals of this new startup. I talked with their Managing Director, Andreia Campos, to try and be a little more fashionable.
What is Gleam and how did the idea come about?
Combining a proprietary distribution channel – the app – with an analytics platform for brands, Gleam is the perfect way for the industry to keep up with consumers and know in real-time how preferences are changing across markets, segments and with fashionistas everywhere.
The idea of creating the consumer app arose from a discussion around the question “what am I going to wear today?”, as there were mornings we could stare at our closet for minutes on end and not have a clue of what to wear. One year later, and with a highly segmented user base on the app, more than 200K inspirational and shoppable images catalogued, and a real-time in-app engagement data (over 100.000 daily data point), it was the right time to share all this fashion insights with brands and create Gleam´s Fashion Intelligence Platform.

Tell us about your expectations for the upcoming Web Summit.
As a global tech conference we will have the opportunity to meet hundreds of people from around the world. It will be the right place to discuss challenges and possible partnerships with other startups, meet journalists and influential tech bloggers and of course, investors.

Looking forward to meet media companies interested in fashion data from our fashion intelligence platform, and that are able to help us grow our user base on the B2C side – our fashion app Gleam
