The inaugural post for The Start Zone was published in February 2014, over 4 years ago. There, I talk about the feeling of starting something new, as something I love. But more importantly, it is crucial to keep momentum going and to persevere. Resilience, I have come to realise, is one of the most important traits one can have. I sometimes, as everyone, have my doubts. And this site has had its ups and downs. But it is still here, four years on. As is Coffeepaste, a cultural project I started back in 2006, and that will turn 12 this year.
Coffeepaste has been going (and growing) strong. My passions are, as many of you may know, Culture and Digital. But here, I’ll talk about The Start Zone. I still have plans for it. The Digital landscape is one of the most fascinating there is, and one that keeps changing every day. People working in it are among the most creative and inventive I have come across. It is my plan to keep interviewing them, both in written and video form. I’ll keep sending my readers a weekly newsletter with my commentary and links from around the world, and I am also planning a monthly post reflecting on the events of the previous 30 days.
That’s a tall order, I know. It takes a lot of work to keep making things happen. But I’ve never been afraid of work, and I am motivated as ever. Will you join me on this journey?
